{"id":569,"date":"2023-11-01T19:20:41","date_gmt":"2023-11-01T19:20:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bigi.com\/?page_id=569"},"modified":"2023-11-01T19:20:41","modified_gmt":"2023-11-01T19:20:41","slug":"philly-cheesesteak","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/www.bigi.com\/index.php\/philly-cheesesteak\/","title":{"rendered":"Philly Cheesesteak"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Philly Cheesesteak with tender ribeye steak, melted gooey provolone, and caramelized onions hugged by a toasted garlic butter hoagie roll.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients\u00a0for 4 Services<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>1 lb Ribeye steak, trimmed and thinly sliced*<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/2 tsp <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2XxIjOi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sea salt<\/a>, or to taste<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/2 tsp Black pepper, or to taste<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 sweet onion, (large), diced<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>8 slices provolone cheese, mild (not aged provolone)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4 Hoagie Rolls, sliced 3\/4 through<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 Tbsp unsalted butter, softened<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 garlic clove, pressed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2-4 Tbsp mayonnaise, or to taste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Instructions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Slice hoagie rolls 3\/4 of the way through with a <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2PNPjDQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">serrated knife<\/a>. Dice onions and thinly slice beef.*<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In a small bowl, stir together 2 Tbsp softened butter with 1 pressed garlic clove. Spread garlic butter onto the cut sides of 4 hoagie roll. Toast the buns on a large skillet, <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2PPf6eR\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">flat cooktop<\/a> or griddle on medium heat until golden brown then set aside.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add 1 Tbsp oil to your pan\/cooktop and sautee diced onions until caramelized then transfer to a bowl.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increase to high heat and add 1 Tbsp oil. Spread the super thinly sliced steak in an even layer. Let brown for a couple of minutes undisturbed then flip and season with 1\/2 tsp salt and 1\/2 tsp black pepper. Sautee until steak is fully cooked through then stir in the caramelized onions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Divide into 4 even portions and top each with 2 slices of cheese and turn off the heat so the cheese will melt without overcooking the meat.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Spread a thin layer of mayo on the toasted side of each roll. Working with one portion at a time, place a toasted bun over each portion and use a <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/34nEf3H\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">spatula <\/a>to scrape the cheesy beef into your bun as you flip it over.
